About the Judges

BIAGIO CASTALDO

RESTAURANT HEAD SOMMELIER AT MAISON ESTELLE

3rd Best Young Sommelier of UK 2021 and a Certified Sommelier from Court of Master Sommeliers America, Biagio started his career as a Sommelier in London at Locanda Locatelli, 1 Michelin Star, in 2016. He then moved to Australia and Canada to experience the ‘New World’, while travelling and expanding his wine knowledge.

In 2020, Biagio achieved the Certified CMS in Portland, Oregon, before moving back to London in 2021 where he is currently studying for WSET Diploma. Biagio was voted 3rd Best Young Sommelier of the UK in 2021 by Chaine des Rotisseurs GB and he is now working as a Restaurant Head Sommelier at Maison Estelle, a Private Members' Club in the heart of Mayfair.
