The London Wine Competition recognizes excellence across individual wines, producers, importers, agencies, countries, varietals, styles, and own-label products. Below is an overview of how each award category is qualified and how winners are selected.
Qualification Criteria:
Must achieve a Double Gold Medal.
Winner Selection:
The wine with the highest Final Score in the competition will be awarded Wine Of The Year.
If multiple wines achieve the same Final Score, the wine with the higher Quality Score will be awarded the title.
Winner Selection:
The wine with the highest Quality Score in the competition will be awarded Best Wine By Quality.
If multiple wines achieve the same Quality Score, the wine with the higher Final Score will be awarded the title.
Winner Selection:
The wine with the highest Value Score in the competition will be awarded Best Wine By Value.
If multiple wines achieve the same Value Score, the wine with the higher Final Score will be awarded the title.
Winner Selection:
The wine with the highest Packaging Score in the competition will be awarded Best Wine By Packaging.
If multiple wines achieve the same Packaging Score, the wine with the higher Final Score will be awarded the title.

The country must receive a minimum of 50 entries in the competition.
The wine must achieve a Double Gold Medal.
Winner Selection:
The highest-scoring Double Gold wine from the qualifying country will be awarded Wine Of The Year By Country.
If multiple wines achieve the same Final Score, the wine with the higher Quality Score will be awarded the title.

The varietal must receive a minimum of 50 entries in the competition.
The wine must achieve a Double Gold Medal.
Winner Selection:
The highest-scoring Double Gold wine within the qualifying varietal will be awarded Varietal Of The Year.
If multiple wines achieve the same Final Score, the wine with the higher Quality Score will be awarded the title.

Style Of The Year
Qualification Criteria:
The style must receive a minimum of 50 entries in the competition.
The wine must achieve a Double Gold Medal.
Winner Selection:
The highest-scoring Double Gold wine within the qualifying style will be awarded Style Of The Year.
If multiple wines achieve the same Final Score, the wine with the higher Quality Score will be awarded the title.

Dessert Wine Of The Year
Fortified Wine Of The Year

Minimum 6 entries.
Minimum average score of 90 points across all submitted wines.
Minimum 3 Gold Medals.
Winner Selection:
All qualifying wineries will be ranked by their average score across all submitted wines.
The winery with the highest average score will be awarded Winery Of The Year.
If multiple wineries achieve the same average score, the winery with the highest average Quality Score will be awarded the title.
Qualification Criteria:
The country must receive a minimum of 50 entries in the competition.
The winery must enter a minimum of 6 wines from that country.
Minimum average score of 90 points.
Minimum 3 Gold Medals.
Winner Selection:
All qualifying wineries will be ranked by their average score across all submitted wines from that country.
The winery with the highest average score will be awarded Country Winery Of The Year.
If multiple wineries achieve the same average score, the winery with the highest average Quality Score will be awarded the title.

The producer must enter a minimum of 6 wines within the varietal.
Minimum average score of 90 points.
Minimum 3 Gold Medals.

If multiple producers achieve the same average score, the producer with the highest average Quality Score will be awarded the title.

The producer must enter a minimum of 6 wines within the style.
Minimum average score of 90 points.
Minimum 3 Gold Medals.
Winner Selection:
All qualifying producers will be ranked by their average score within the style.
The producer with the highest average score will be awarded Style Producer Of The Year.
If multiple producers achieve the same average score, the producer with the highest average Quality Score will be awarded the title.

Minimum 10 entries.
Minimum average score of 85 points.
Minimum 4 Gold Medals.
Winner Selection:
All qualifying importers will be ranked by their average score across all submitted wines.
The importer with the highest average score will be awarded Importer Of The Year.
If multiple importers achieve the same average score, the importer with the highest average Quality Score will be awarded the title.
Qualification Criteria:
Agency must represent and enter a minimum of 10 wines.
Minimum average score of 85 points.
Minimum 4 Gold Medals.
Winner Selection:
All qualifying agencies will be ranked by their average score across all submitted wines.
The agency with the highest average score will be awarded Agency Of The Year.
If multiple agencies achieve the same average score, the agency with the highest average Quality Score will be awarded the title.
Own Label Wine Of The Year
Qualification Criteria:
The Own Label / Private Label category must receive a minimum of 50 entries.
The wine must achieve a Double Gold Medal.
Winner Selection:
The highest-scoring Double Gold Own Label wine will be awarded Own Label Wine Of The Year.
If multiple wines achieve the same Final Score, the wine with the higher Quality Score will be awarded the title.

The Own Label / Private Label category must receive a minimum of 50 entries.
The wine must achieve a Double Gold Medal.
Winner Selection:
The Own Label wine with the highest Quality Score will be awarded Best Own Label Wine By Quality.
If multiple wines achieve the same Quality Score, the wine with the higher Final Score will be awarded the title.
