Villa Splendida: Experience the Tuscan Lifestyle Through Wine, Heritage and Hospitality

Villa Splendida combines centuries-old Tuscan winemaking heritage with luxury hospitality, offering authentic wines and immersive experiences that bring Tuscany to life

In an increasingly crowded wine market, trade buyers are often searching for more than just a well-made bottle. Consumers today are drawn to experiences, authenticity, and stories that connect them to a place. Villa Splendida is a brand that speaks directly to this shift, combining centuries-old Tuscan winemaking heritage with a broader lifestyle offering that captures the essence of one of the world’s most celebrated wine regions.

At its heart, Villa Splendida represents a vision of Tuscany that extends beyond the vineyard. From handcrafted wines produced by a winery founded more than 300 years ago to a luxury villa nestled among vineyards, olive groves, and medieval villages in the Val di Chiana, the brand offers a complete expression of Tuscan culture, hospitality, and craftsmanship.

The company is led by Dr. Kelly Pfeil, Owner and CEO, whose background brings a distinctive perspective to the wine industry. A PhD chemist and certified sommelier, Pfeil has spent more than 25 years working in food and product innovation for some of the world’s largest consumer brands, including Coca-Cola, Pepsi, and Frito Lay. Her experience spans research and development, flavor science, innovation strategy, and intellectual property, providing a unique combination of scientific expertise and wine knowledge.

Supporting operations is Samantha Sepcic, Vice President of Operations, Logistics, and Sales. With experience at Amazon and Dell Technologies, along with a background in supply chain management and process improvement, Sepcic brings operational discipline and efficiency to a business focused on premium wine and hospitality experiences.

Together, the leadership team reflects a growing trend within premium wine: combining traditional wine culture with modern business expertise to create brands capable of competing in sophisticated global markets.

Villa Splendida’s wine portfolio centers on some of Tuscany’s most recognized styles. The collection includes Sangiovese, Super Tuscan wines, and Vermentino, all crafted to reflect the rich character and artisanal traditions associated with the region. The wines are positioned as authentic expressions of Tuscany, drawing from a winery whose history spans more than three centuries.

For importers, retailers, and on-premise buyers, this provenance carries significant value. As consumers increasingly seek wines with a genuine sense of place, Tuscany remains one of the most trusted and recognizable wine regions in the world. Villa Splendida leverages that heritage while presenting it through a contemporary brand narrative that resonates with modern wine drinkers.

What further differentiates the brand is its ability to connect wine with experiential luxury. The Villa Splendida estate itself offers accommodation for up to eighteen guests across two independent villas set amid the rolling Tuscan countryside. Located near the historic villages of Pozzo della Chiana and Foiano della Chiana, the property provides access to many of the experiences that have become synonymous with premium wine tourism, including winery visits, olive oil tastings, truffle hunting, private chef experiences, and luxury shopping excursions.

This connection between wine and destination is increasingly important in today's premium wine sector. Consumers are no longer purchasing products in isolation; they are buying into stories, places, and lifestyles. Villa Splendida provides trade partners with a brand narrative that extends beyond the bottle and creates opportunities for engagement across hospitality, retail, gifting, and experiential marketing channels.

The brand has already demonstrated its ability to resonate with influential wine audiences. In both 2024 and 2025, Villa Splendida contributed a week-long stay at its nine-bedroom luxury property to the prestigious Côtes du Coeur charity wine auction in Dallas. The experiences sold for $80,000 each year, generating a total of $160,000 for the American Heart Association. The event, recognized as one of the largest wine auctions in the southwestern United States, brought Villa Splendida alongside some of the country's most respected wineries and culinary figures.

Importantly, the brand’s wines were showcased among leading producers at the event and received strong recognition, ultimately earning an invitation to participate as one of the winery showcases for a future edition of the auction. Such exposure highlights Villa Splendida’s growing visibility within premium wine circles and demonstrates the appeal of its combination of wine, hospitality, and philanthropy.

For trade buyers, Villa Splendida arrives at a time when differentiation is becoming increasingly important. The market is full of wines competing on varietal, price, and awards alone. Villa Splendida offers something broader: a complete Tuscan narrative rooted in heritage, family ownership, craftsmanship, and immersive experiences.

The wines reflect the traditions of a centuries-old winery. The villa embodies the beauty and hospitality of Tuscany. The leadership team brings together scientific expertise, operational excellence, and a passion for delivering memorable experiences. Combined, these elements create a brand that appeals not only to wine consumers but also to those seeking a deeper connection with the culture and lifestyle behind the bottle.

As demand continues to grow for authentic, experience-driven luxury brands, Villa Splendida stands out as a compelling proposition for importers, distributors, retailers, and hospitality operators looking to bring a genuine taste of Tuscany to their customers. It is not simply a wine brand; it is an invitation to experience Tuscany itself.
