Winning big at the London Wine Competition

16/05/2022

As the registrations for the 2023 London Competitions open up, here’s a recap of our 2022 London Wine Competition Winners.

London wine competition looks to recognise, reward and help promote wine brands that have successfully been created to identify with and target a specific wine drinker. To be an award winner at the London Wine Competition, you will need to have a top-quality wine that offers both the trade and the consumer great value for money, and you will need to look good and truly stand out on the shelf and on the back bar.

Winning at the London Wine Competition is not about having the most artisanal wine or an elite experience priced high. This competition celebrates a balance, a sweet spot between great quality, great packaging, and value for money. Crucially, all the winners in the London Wine Competition will give future trade wine buyers, be they for a supermarket, specialist wine retailer, casual dining or upmarket restaurant, the re-assurance that these are wines that their customers want to buy.

Year after year, this competition has grown inclusive and increasingly competitive. In a record number of entries that the competition has ever witnessed, over 1300 wines were submitted for the 2022 London Wine Competition. This is almost double the number of entries as compared to the first edition of the London Wine Competition in 2018. A 14% growth was also seen in the entries when compared to the 2021 edition of the Competition.

Here are some big winners at the London Wine Competition:
