Joseph Arthur, Senior Wine Buyer at Marks & Spencer Joins London Wine Competition Judging Panel
Joseph joined the wine trade 10 years ago through Majestic Wine and it's been a whirlwind adventure since.
Joseph Arthur worked in almost every sector of the trade; from making wine in Bordeaux and England whilst completing his BSc in Viticulture and Oenology, to selling fine wine to London's most prestigious restaurants early on in his time at Bibendum.

He then moved into buying, specializing in Italy and the Americas allowing him to travel to and work with some of the biggest and most prestigious producers, as well as discover artisanal hidden gems of the wine world. Joseph now works for the online retailer, Ocado, managing their new world wine portfolio.

What’s New at the 2027 London Wine Competition?
The 2027 London Wine Competition gives every entrant greater feedback, transparency and commercial insight. Entrants will receive an expanded score breakdown, constructive feedback on how to improve, guidance on how to market and sell their wines, the names of the judges who tasted their entries, final feedback from the Head Judge and a Buyer Market Intelligence Report.
