The Uncommon is the UK's first wine brand to produce high-quality English sparkling wine in a can. Founders Henry Connell and Alex Thraves wanted to create a brand with a premium yet approachable feel by making their wine more accessible and enjoyable to everyone.

They produce a wide range of canned wines, namely: Bubbly White, Bubbly Rosé, White Spritzer, and Rosé Spritzer. They use only hand-harvested grapes from the local and most thoughtful producers across the South of England, Hampshire, Surrey, Sussex, and Kent.

They use a carbon-positive canning process which has a carbon footprint that is 80% lesser than glass. Their wine cans come in eco-friendly packaging of 250ml cans, are very light, chill fast, and are endlessly recyclable.

The Uncommon is committed to becoming the most sustainable wine brand in the UK and has pledged to create a positive impact on the environment by 2025.

The Copper Crew

The Copper Crew started making canned wine in 2020 when three friends — Oliver Purnell, Theo Gough, and Sam Lambson decided to make drinking wine more fun. And by fun, they meant fresh, quality, and sustainable wines.

They produce four award-winning wines, namely: Rosé, Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, and Merlot. They use ingredients that are all sourced from South Africa. The Chenin Blanc was awarded Gold at the International Canned Wine Competition, while Rosé won Bronze award at the International Wine and Spirits Competition.

The Copper Crew wines are available in 250ml recyclable cans which are designed after extensive canning research to reduce wastage and carbon dioxide emissions in the environment. Their eco-friendly packaging and quality of the cans ensure that their high-quality wine remains fresh by preventing any damage from light and air.

Kiss of Wine

Kiss of Wine is a premium canned-wine brand that sources its wine from small independent winemakers in France, Italy, Spain, and Germany. These independent winemakers have a history of making beautiful and high-quality wines that work best in a can.

They produce eight delicious varieties of vegan canned wine, namely: Zesty Riesling, Feisty Nebbiolo, Chill Caladoc Rosé, Wild Dolcetto, Crisp Sauvignon Blanc, and Smooth Chardonnay, with sparkling versions of Chill and Zesty finishing the list in a refreshing mood.

Kiss of Wine’s 250ml slim aluminum cans are eco-friendly, fully recyclable, and perfect for a circular economy. They are highly logistically efficient and account for just 5% of total product weight, thus increasing the volume of wine a truck can carry, which in turn reduces overall transport emissions, environmental impact, and cost. These cans also preserve wine’s properties and its taste.

They have six distinct flavor profiles, namely: Grüner, Barrel Aged Verdejo, Viognier, Grenache Rosé, St Laurent, Old Vine Garnacha. The wines have a number system, so it is easy to navigate wines that fit any occasion. They were awarded four Gold Medals for the International Canned Wine Competition, alongside several other various awards in 2021.

Canned Wine Co.’s aluminium cans are small in size, efficient to pack, and are infinitely recyclable. Bringing more sustainable choices to consumers, these cans reduce energy consumption, wastage, and the carbon dioxide impact of heavy-weight glass logistics.

Founded by Lucy Wright and Jeremy May, Nice is one of the fastest-growing canned wine brands in the UK and aims to become ‘the nicest wine company in the world’. That means selling genuinely nice wine, but also being nice to its customers and to the planet.

Nice comes in three vegan-friendly variants, namely: Sauvignon Blanc from Côtes de Gascogne, Pale Rosé from just outside Montpellier, and Malbec from Argentina. They describe themselves as a Future Wine Company due to their fresh approaches to the wine industry.

Nice 250ml slimline wine cans are 100% recyclable, convenient, and come in sustainable wine box packaging. Their wine box contains three wine cans and produces ten times less carbon dioxide as compared to a single-use glass bottle.
