In 2011, Barbara started her career at Berry Bros & Rudd in the events department. Today, she hosts a wide range of events at the cellars. Her specific passion is Burgundy and Italy while she teaches about classic and newer wine-producing regions. LWC team asked her for a good wine book recommendations for wine lovers, here is what she said.
"I would suggest three, for very different reasons.
I always recommend “I taste red” by Jamie Goode – it gives great insight into how we taste, and why we perceive wine the way we do and is, in my view, an invaluable guide for any wine taster, whatever level.
I also think Jura Wine by Wink Lorch is fantastic, getting under the skin of a lesser-known region with incredible wines and food.
Finally (of course!), I recommend Exploring & Tasting Wine: A Wine Course with Digressions – perfect for those just starting their wine tasting journey, and those who have been tasting wine for quite some time, there is something in it for everyone!" - Barbara Drew
