THE GROUP
Terre d'Oltrepò has represented excellence on the Italian wine scene since 2008, when the Group was founded following the merger of Cantina di Casteggio (1907) and Cantina Sociale Intercomunale di Broni (1960).
In 2017 TDO acquired La Versa, a historic brand that has carried over a century of tradition since 1905.
TDO also represents one of the oldest Social Wineries in the territory, located in the heart of the largest area in Italy devoted to the cultivation of Pinot Noir, third in Europe after Burgundy and Champagne with 75 percent of the land dedicated to the cultivation of the grape variety.
TDO refers to the Champagne model, where a single pressing center is able to catalyze and increase the production capacity of the entire area.
Our goal is to consolidate and increase the production capacity of the area currently comprising 5,000 hectares, to which is added the official opening of the 6,000 hectares of Colli Piacentini as a potential new member that will give us great support in the ability to increase our level of operation and make the system more efficient.
TDO supports small wine producers in order to reduce fragmentation in the area and give support primarily to the families who are an integral part of this reality.
More than 2,000 people are involved in and depend on the Group's actions, with this comes the responsibility to take care of them. We focus on expanding and aggregating the territory so that our members, in addition to mere suppliers, become true partners.
Our journey begins with the realization that it is morally right to take the side of beauty, against all forms of ethical ugliness in the world.
The goal is to achieve the highest quality standards, with the understanding that excellence comes from hard and constant work.
