Vins Algars is a small family winery founded in 1940 in Batea (Terra Alta), a region with a long winemaking tradition. Since 2009, all vineyards have been managed organically, prioritizing soil health and respecting the natural character of the grapes. The 2016 harvest marked a turning point with the arrival of the fourth generation, who renovated an old winery and modernized the facilities while preserving local identity. In 2020, a new winery was built to increase capacity and improve production. In 2024, further upgrades will include a photovoltaic system to achieve energy self-sufficiency and reduce the carbon footprint. The winery aims to improve each production process, keep learning, and enjoy the craft. Winemaking is understood as a way of life, filled with excitement at every harvest. Their commitment is to teach future generations to pursue their dreams while respecting the land that shaped them.
