Today, with modern facilities and a deep respect for its vineyards, Bodegas Puente de Rus is crafting wines that stand out for their balance, structure, and exceptional quality. Amparo Ortiz, from the Export Department at Bodegas Puente de Rus talks to us about the motto at Bodegas Puente de Rus as well as their future trajectory.
Located at an average altitude of 722 metres above sea level, Bodegas Puente de Rus oversees 2,750 hectares of vineyards spread across a diverse landscape. The variety of soils, including clay, sand, and limestone, offers the perfect environment for the vines to flourish. This unique terroir imparts distinct characteristics to the grapes, contributing to the singular flavour profiles of the wines produced here. The winery’s location and natural conditions—shaped by the region's orographic system and rainfall—ensure optimal ripening and the development of key components like acidity, sugars, tannins, and polyphenols. This meticulous attention to the natural environment guarantees the production of grapes with balance, making the wines stand out in terms of quality and taste.
Since its inception, Bodegas Puente de Rus has been committed to maintaining the delicate balance between tradition and modernity. While the winery holds firm to the artisanal aspects of winemaking, it seamlessly integrates 21st-century science and technology. From innovative quality control systems that monitor the vineyard’s lifecycle to advanced wine reception and preservation techniques, every aspect of the winemaking process is refined to perfection. At the core of the winery’s success is its team. The experience, dedication, and passion of the people working at Bodegas Puente de Rus enable the cooperative to meet the ever-changing demands of both the local and international markets. The human element is essential in crafting wines that reflect the land and its heritage, ensuring that each bottle has its own unique personality.
