This is the story of a family deeply rooted in the Barolo region, dating back to the great-greatgrandfather
who, in 1930, purchased a farmhouse and vineyards in the municipality of Barolo.
Since then, the commitment and passion for viticulture have been passed down through
generations. Alberto, son of Ferruccio Grimaldi, brought new energy to the company when he
joined in 2020.
Giacomo Grimaldi, grandson of Ernesto, continued the family's work, living in the part of the
farmhouse inherited with the hectare of vineyard that is now the renowned Barolo cru Le Coste.
This journey has been shaped by pivotal decisions, such as Ferruccio's in 1996 when he started
producing wine, giving a new identity to the company now named Giacomo Grimaldi.
The family expanded their vineyard holdings, acquiring new lands in the municipalities of Barolo,
Novello, Vezza d'Alba, and Monforte d'Alba, totaling 18 hectares today. Ferruccio and Alberto
continue to grow the business with dedication, always respecting the past while looking to the
future with new investments for the winery. This is the story of a family that believes in the value
of multi-generational work, deeply connected to the quality and passion for the Langhe and Roero
territories.
