With more than 15 years of experience in the wine trade, Freddy has built a reputation for discovering outstanding wines that combine quality, authenticity and exceptional value for consumers.

Having worked across both the on-trade and independent wine merchant sectors before joining The Wine Society, Freddy brings extensive commercial buying experience and a deep understanding of consumer trends. He is recognised for championing emerging wine regions and producers, while making wine more approachable and accessible for a broad audience. Freddy has completed the WSET Level 4 Diploma in Wines and Spirits and has been recognised among the UK's most influential wine buyers.

As a judge at the London Wine Competition, Freddy evaluates wines through the perspective of a professional buyer, recognising products that deliver outstanding quality, value and market appeal. His expertise in portfolio selection and consumer purchasing behaviour ensures that awarded wines have both technical excellence and strong commercial potential.
