Fresh from winning the UK Sommelier of the Year competition, Philipp Reinstaller, head sommelier at Mauro Colagreco at Raffles joins the 2025 London Wine Competition judging panel. He is also a Master Sake Sommelier which will add great value to sake producers in getting feedback from an expert like him.

Born in Kufstein, Austria, he went to Munich to work at Tantris for two years. He then moved to London in 2016, where he started working at Dinner by Heston Blumenthal at the Mandarin Oriental. During his time at Dinner, he passed the Court of Master Sommelier Advanced exam in addition to the Master Sake Sommelier exam by SSA. Four years later, he moved to Trivet Restaurant as Head Sommelier until Summer 2022, when he decided to join the opening team of the Raffles hotel.
