Matteo Furlan comes from a renowned Hotelier family in northern Italy, on the outskirts of Venice. He is right now Head of Wines at The Dorchester, London. He is been involved in hospitality since his childhood and has developed a passion for wine since the legal age of drinking. After graduating in Tourism and Catering management in Italy, he decided to travel to Europe to gain experience and knowledge from some of the best 5-star establishments around the World. He arrived in the UK in 2015, after completing sommelier courses in Italy, he decided to undergo the WSET path here in London.
