I am a highly motivated, dedicated, and professional ambassador for wine and the wine industry. 

I have an extensive breadth and depth of wine knowledge, acquired initially through a simple love of wine and developed considerably through the Master of Wine (MW) programme, from a desire for a deeper understanding of the product and the industry. I achieved my goal of becoming a Master of Wine in August 2021. In addition I have 15 years of experience in the industry, gained through several varied and challenging roles.

Originally qualifying with BSc and MSc degrees in Chemistry and training as an Analytical Chemist with GlaxoSmithKline, I made a career move to the wine industry through founding a wine training company. The wine school has become a well-respected provider of WSET courses in Scotland. As the Managing Director of the school, I have developed an acute appreciation of the requirements of business management. This combined with natural communication abilities and a commitment to customer service, has resulted in the business achieving a respectable turnover and profit during every year of its operation.

I thoroughly enjoy my role as an ambassador for wine and the wine industry and take every opportunity possible to communicate knowledgeably and enthusiastically with a wide range of audiences. I judge in wine competitions, write about wine and work with a number of clients organising events, providing marketing support, developing wine lists and advising on private cellars.
