Salvatore Castano earned the title of ASI Best Sommelier Europe & Africa in 2021 after beating a group of talented sommeliers in the process. Salvatore has won many awards as a sommelier including the 2nd Best Italian Sommelier (ASPI) in 2019, 2nd Best Young Sommelier UK by Chaîne des Rôtisseurs in 2019 and 3rd Best Italian Sommelier (ASPI) in 2018.

Salvatore holds a fabulous experience of many years in some of the renowned restaurants of London including Alain Ducasse, MASH Steak London and Annabel’s. He now works as the On Trade Advisor & Wine Buyer at Friarwood Fine Wine and would be on the judging panel of the London Wine Competition 2025.
