Daniele Arcangeli

ASPI Best Sommelier of Italy 2015, Best Sommelier of Tuscany 2012, ASI Diploma Gold, WSET Diploma Student, Certified Sommelier Court of Master Sommeliers

Daniele Arcangeli is an award-winning Italian sommelier, wine buyer, and hospitality professional with more than two decades of experience across Michelin-starred restaurants and luxury hospitality venues in Europe and the United Kingdom. Currently serving as Head Sommelier and Wine Buyer at Ekstedt at The Yard in London, Daniele leads the wine programme and pairing strategy, combining technical wine expertise with a strong understanding of guest experience and commercial wine performance.

Originally from Tuscany, Daniele built his career through some of the world’s most respected dining institutions, including The Fat Duck, 67 Pall Mall, Angler, and The River Restaurant by Gordon Ramsay. His extensive experience in fine dining, premium wine curation, and beverage leadership has earned him widespread industry recognition, including Best Sommelier of Tuscany in 2012 and Best Sommelier of Italy in 2015. He also represented Italy at the ASI Best Sommelier of the World competition and holds the prestigious ASI Diploma Gold alongside certifications from the Court of Master Sommeliers and AIS.

As a judge at the London Wine Competition, Daniele brings a strong commercial and hospitality-driven perspective to wine evaluation. With deep expertise in wine buying, food pairing, and consumer preferences, he assesses wines based not only on quality, but also on value and packaging, helping identify wines that are positioned for success in today’s competitive market.
