Mario Lazzaro’s experience in the wine business dates back to 1979, when he worked as a consultant for a traditional Mendoza winery and vineyard company focused on the domestic market. In the 1990s, as Argentine wine began expanding into international markets, Mario worked as a trader, facilitating exports of wine and concentrated grape must from Mendoza producers to the United States, China, and Russia.

In 2002, he founded Finca del Valle Inc., producing wine for export to China and the United States. He also developed the American market as an importer and distributor, working with MHW Ltd. Following the subprime mortgage crisis, Mario consulted for several Mendoza wineries, supporting their exports to the United States, Europe, and Asia. He also worked as a purchasing representative for US wine importers.

From 2015 to early 2024, he served as General Manager and Director of ProMendoza, the agency responsible for promoting exports from the province of Mendoza. Mario is currently a partner at Thinkick Ltd., a company specializing in foreign trade consulting.
