Michael Harrison has been in the wine trade for 40 years. He has worked in many areas of the business from retail wine shops to duty wine bars, as well as wine buying for a major supermarket. He also had a long time in the on trade as a sommelier both of hotels and Michelin restaurants. Harrison was head sommelier of four of the Boutique wine hotels Hotel Du Vin, as well as some very creative fine dining restaurants. In this time, he travelled the wine world intensively, visiting both New World as well as all classic Old World regions.

He has a passion for all things English and has become both a consultant and part owner of an English sparkling wine brand. Harrison has spent many years in bar and restaurant management, specialising in liquor trading which is helped by his passion for wines, spirits and food.
