In 2018 Mattia completed the WSET Diploma in London, encouraging him to showcase a more interesting and varied wine list in the restaurant. 

Having temporally completed his studies, he decided to double as wine writer his true passion, communicating about wine. Having been lucky enough to have his first pieces published, he has started to produce a Looking Into Wine Podcast, while writing and working as Sommelier, He has been so lucky to find a fiancée that is understanding and supportive.

Mattia also creates and manages the wine list at Petersham Nurseries Café, Richmond, with a focus on Italian wines.
