Matteo Furlan is currently working as Head Sommelier at the Ritz Restaurant* London. He is WSET Level 4 Diploma candidate, Certified Sommelier CMS, world traveler, fine wines discoverer, foodie, and life lover.
After completing his study at the Touristic School of Jesolo, close to Venice he started to work in the restaurants of the area moving quickly to Venice. After a short experience in Spain he have decided to move to United Kingdom and have joined Caprice Holding at J Shekeey. In 2015 he decided to try Asian cusine and moved to Hakkasan group in their now closed Hkk restaurant. After completing WSET 3 and Court of master Certified level he has moved as Assistant Head Sommelier to Roka. in June 2017 the opportunity of joining the Ritz. In March 2018, he started WSET diploma and hopefully in few months we will know if he has managed to pass the last exam. In may 2019 he has been promoted to Head Sommelier.
